A smart greenhouse, built with a friend
Micro:bits and sensors: a thermometer that opened a window, a moisture meter that triggered a pump, a fan for when it got too warm. That project decided things for me.
First Year, High School
A poker engine, and the bug that hooked me
My first real code, written in C#. Working out its logic and hunting down its bugs was my first real taste of how rewarding coding can be.
Second Year, Web & Networking
HTML, built entirely from script
No markup, no stylesheets, just JavaScript. I built a school scheduling site that way, then kept extending it well past what the class actually asked for.
Technical College
Skinweb, built after class
TypeScript, NestJS and Next.js, picked up largely outside class hours. The hardest parts had nothing to do with the stack: reverse engineering undocumented CS2 server plugin internals, and scraping skin pricing from sites that mostly don't expose a public API.
Axami Systems
From fixing bugs to rebuilding the system
First real pressure: fixing bugs in a system I hadn't written, then helping rebuild it from scratch with a modern stack meant to run in production, not survive a demo. That's what I'm chasing now.
